The Challenge

With a professional procurement team focused on ingredients, the executive recognised an opportunity to improve profitability by focusing on indirect spend and food industry factory support categories. The objective; savings and sustainable profitability improvement.


Initial Spend Analysis & Opportunity Assessment identified and planned a 2 wave programme of procurement cost reduction across all overhead, IT and marketing spend.

Strategic sourcing programme across 13 categories of indirect spend to deliver identified cost reduction.


Sourcing strategies included re-negotiations with suppliers, full tender processes and service delivery improvements
