Client

Procura’s client is a leading workplace experience and facility management company. The business offers services across cleaning, food, support, technical, workplace, and security, serving 40,500 customers across more than 30 countries. In 2020, the business announced a new strategy with the ambition to become the most respected global leader in integrated facility services.

Procura supported the client to accelerate their strategy including a new globally aligned operating model and a renewed focus on commercial discipline.

Our Role

The CPO engaged Procura to provide an external view on the savings opportunities within the organisation’s spend. Procura were asked to build a pipeline of initiatives which would deliver savings for the coming year

In addition, the client wanted to assess and benchmark their procurement performance and identify functional improvements across the 8 key enablers of procurement excellence.

Results

  • Category-by-category savings targets and prioritisation across more than £340m annual spend and 2,250 suppliers
  • Identification of up to £27m of savings (8%) supported by a detailed delivery plan including 40 initiatives
  • Functional Diagnostic detailing “as is” situation and assessment of procurement capability and maturity
  • Development of the procurement excellence roadmap in line with business strategy to develop a globally aligned global transformation programme
